UPS delivers much needed supplies!

Just before Christmas, the Southwest Family Advocacy Center received a wonderful delivery from our friends at UPS. The Friends Board would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone at UPS who donated toys, games, basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, crafts, socks, blankets, journals, and other carefully selected items for the kids.

The toys, games, and balls will be used to refill our shelves after hosting our 2023 Winter Wonderland (separate blog post). Socks, blankets, and soft, squishy pillows enhance the comfort of our victims as they are seen in the center. Journals and art supplies allow victims to express themselves creatively while healing. The UPS donation included clothes and hygiene products. These are much-needed items as victims' clothes often become a source of investigative evidence. The ability to shower and dress into something new and comfortable is truly a blessing and made possible by donations.
