Thank you for being a friend!

The Friends of the Southwest Family Advocacy Center is a 501c3 charitable organization that raises funds to promote and maintain the Southwest Family Advocacy Center's holistic response to victims of child, family, and sexual violence.
The Friends' primary functions include fundraising, advocacy, and raising community awareness about the Southwest Family Advocacy Center. They provide funds to cover services not included in the SWFAC's law enforcement government budgets. The supportive services we've provided include transportation for forensic interviews and counseling appointments, post-examination clothing, door lock changes, emergency cell phones, security monitors, gift cards for food, overnight emergency refuge in local hotels when beds in domestic violence shelters are unavailable, comfort items for after examination and interview support, gift cards for emergency food, snacks for children being cared for in the center's playroom, and comfort items provided to victims after examinations and interviews.
Through generous donations, the Friends of the Southwest Family Advocacy Center has improved the center's playroom, provided technology for filing Orders of Protection, and funded monthly multidisciplinary team meetings. These meetings bring together law enforcement, county attorneys, and others for ongoing education and to discuss complex cases.
If you've donated to the Friends 501c3, attended a Friends fundraiser or community education event, or assisted the Friends organization in any way, you are a friend! Thank you for being a Friend!
